IMDEA Materials is looking for a research assistant to work in the development of fluid mechanics models to address impregnation during the manufacturing of structural composites by resin transfer molding or vacuum infusion. Models will be calibrated with detailed experimental data and serve as the basis of synthetic data for machine learning predictive models.
Candidates should hold a Mechanical Engineering or any other related discipline with excellent academic credentials and a strong commitment to developing an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
Fluent English (oral and written) is required.
Strong knowledge of numerical techniques for fluid analysis (OpenFoam) is required.
