This PhD position is part of electrochemistry research group at IMDEA-Materials Institute. Research activities will be focused on the fabrication of high-performance electrode materials with desired structural and electrochemical performance followed by their integration in carbon fiber composite laminates to produce structural batteries.

Candidates should hold Masters in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, Nanotechnology (or related discipline) with excellent academic credentials and a strong commitment to develop an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment.
Previous experience in nanomaterials synthesis, electrochemical energy storage systems, polymer electrolytes, mechanical testing of materials, spectroscopy (Raman, FT-IR, XPS etc.) and microscopy (SEM, TEM etc.) are necessary.
Fluent oral and written English is required.
No knowledge of Spanish is required (free lessons provided).
Full time temporary contract including social security coverage. Salary depending on previous experience and credentials.
