This PhD position is in the research group of High Performance Polymer Nanocomposites (HPPN, http://www.materials.imdea.org/groups/hppn/) at IMDEA Materials Institute. Research activities will be focused on the design and development of fire safe polyelectrolyte that will be used for fabricating the batteries. The materials should have high ionic conductivity, fire safety and enable battery operation.  

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should hold a Master Degree in Materials Science, Electrochemistry, or related discipline with excellent academic credentials and a strong commitment to develop an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment. 

Previous experience in polymer electrolytes and/or electrochemical energy storage systems will be valued.

Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory.

CONDITIONS

Full time contract including social security coverage.

Duration: 3 year (will be evaluated annually.)

Salary: Competitive.

Starting date: May 2017 (It is available immediately until filled)
