IMDEA Materials is looking for a PhD candidate to work in the research project TEMACOM funded by the Innovation Hub Project of the Community of Madrid 2019. Research activities will be focused in the development of new modeling strategies to simulate processing of composite materials for aerospace applications including thermoforming and analysis of defects.
Candidates should hold a MEng in Mechanical Engineering or Materials (or related discipline) with excellent academic credentials and a strong commitment to develop an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment. Strong background on solid mechanics and previous experience in finite element modeling will be valuable. Fluent English (oral and written) is required. Starting from April 2019.
