DESCRIPTION

IMDEA Materials is looking for a Research Associate holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Materials Science to work in the research project TEMACOM funded by the Innovation Hub Project of the Community of Madrid 2019. Research activities will be focused in the development of new modeling strategies to simulate processing of composite materials for aerospace applications including thermoforming and analysis of defects.

REQUIREMENTS

Candidates should hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Computational Materials Science (or any other related discipline) with excellent academic credentials and a strong commitment to develop an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment. Strong background on solid mechanics, advanced finite element modeling, programming (MatLab, Python, etc.) will be required. Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory. Starting from April 2019.
