We are seeking a research assistant to carry out his/her doctoral research on the field of additive manufacturing of meta-materials. The research will involve processing of metals, microstructure characterization, as well as measurement of mechanical properties.

This project, which is jointly supervised by Dr. María Teresa Pérez Prado at Imdea Materials and Prof. Mónica Campos at the Carlos III University (UC3M), will lead to a PhD, which will be defended at UC3M.

The research work will be carried out in the frame of the MAT 4.0 project (Intelligent fabrication of advanced materials for transport, energy and health), recently awarded by the Madrid Regional Government (Tecnologías 2018 call).

The contract will be funded by the S2018/NMT-4381 MAT4.0-CM Program, of the Madrid Regional Government 2018 R&D Technologies call, which is co-funded by 50% by the European Social Fund for the 2014-2020 programming period.

Physics, chemistry, or engineering degree with good background in materials science.

Experience in materials processing, microstructure characterization, and mechanical testing will be recognized.
