Description

IMDEA Materials is looking for a research associate holding a PhD in Mechanical Engineering, Computational Materials Science, to work on a research project on the mechanical characterization of structural composites and their processing. Research activities will focus on developing new modelling strategies to simulate the mechanical and processing of composite materials for aerospace applications.


Requirements

Candidates should hold a PhD in Mechanical Engineering or Computational Materials Science (or any other related discipline) with excellent academic credentials and a solid commitment to developing an academic career in an international and multidisciplinary environment. Strong background in solid mechanics, advanced finite element modelling, and programming (MatLab, Python, etc.) will be required. Fluent English (oral and written) is mandatory. The vacancy will be closed as soon as we find the right candidate.


Conditions

Starting date: Available immediately; open until filled.

Full-time contract, including social security coverage.
