Post-doctoral research position in the area of modelling and machine learning. The researcher will work in the development of various mathematical and data-driven approaches for the acceleration of materials discovery, improvement of materials processing, and enhancement of the understanding of structure-processing-properties relationships.

IMDEA Materials Institute is a public research organization founded in 2007 by Madrid’s regional government to carry out research of excellence in Material Science and Engineering by attracting talent from all over the world to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment. IMDEA Materials has grown rapidly since its foundation and currently includes more than 120 researchers from 22 nationalities and has become one of the leading research centers in materials in Europe which has received the María de Maeztu seal of excellence from the Spanish government. IMDEA Materials Institute is looking to fill a post-doctoral research position in the area of modelling and machine learning. The researcher will work on the development of various machine learning algorithms for the prediction and control of complex phenomena related to material design and materials processing.
Successful candidates must hold a Ph. D. in Applied Mathematics, Computer Science or some other discipline involving modelling, machine learning and programming and have a proven record of expertise in these topics.
In addition, the following will be positively valued:

Fluency in English
Full-time contract including social security coverage.
Salary depending on previous experience and credentials.
