IMDEA Materials Institute is a public research organization founded in 2007 by Madrid’s regional government to carry out research of excellence in Material Science and Engineering by attracting talent from all over the world to work in an international and multidisciplinary environment. Description

This position is responsible for accounting records of expenses, investments and income from invoices, payment management, and support in preparing tax settlements. It supports the head of the department, participating in the processes of continuous improvement of internal procedures in the accounting area and project management processes in the IDINET programme.


Requirements
Education:

Vocational training in Administration and Finance.
Training on project management.

Experience:
  • Minimum three years experience in Foundations: expenditure/purchases for grants and categorisation of expenditure.
    Minimum three years of experience in Foundations: inventory management and control
    Minimum three years of experience in Foundations: ERPs, accounting and project management programmes
    Previous experience in payments management: bank remittances, web
    Previous experience in sales invoicing and collection management.
    Previous experience in document management: physical archiving and document management systems.
    Experience working with Word and Excel
    Experience working in a multinational, multi-cultural environment.
Necessary competencies:
  • English B2 (oral and written).
  • Rigorous, methodical.
    Proactive, committed team player.
    Analytical capacity, global vision.
    Digital competence: searching for information, security, collaborative tools, e-mail, website management (electronic office, banks, administration) etc.
    Initiative, flexibility and ability to solve everyday problems related to the position’s duties.

Conditions

Contrato indefinido con cargo a la tasa de reposición específica autorizada por la Secretaría de Estado de Función Pública del Ministerio de Hacienda y Función Pública en fecha 30 de diciembre de 2022.

Permanent contract under the specific replacement rate authorised by the Secretary of State for the Civil Service of the Ministry of Finance and the Civil Service on 30 December 2022.
